Best practices around privacy policies for online communities and news orgs

Hi folks,

We’re interested in learning more about writing privacy policies that will be helpful when communicating with news organizations. Why does this matter? Sometimes a journalist might want to quote or talk to someone who left insightful comments, or shared useful information on the site. Of course, we need to think about ways to ask for permission to reach out. Users should also have the ability to know what information the organization gathers.

Ideally, the privacy policy would be short and easy to understand. Most importantly, it should transparent about what information the news organization gathers and how it will be used.

Does anyone here have good examples of privacy policies you thought were helpful?
