Connect to Redis cluster via SSL

#1

Hi all,

I am trying to connect to a Redis cluster via SSL connection.
Using the non SSL port (6379) works, whereas using the SSL port (6380) does not work.

NonSSL Connection String
redis://user:password@myredis.net:6379

This is what I tried so far:
rediss://user:password@myredis.net:6380
redis://user:password@myredis.net:6380?ssl=true
redis://user:password@myredis.net:6380

Many thanks in advance

Hi @simon could you post this on Github? https://github.com/coralproject/talk/issues/new

Also since this seems to be a more general Redis question you might get a faster response on Stack Overflow.

Hi,

you can read the docs of ioredis: https://github.com/luin/ioredis
and configure as the TALK_REDIS_CLIENT_CONFIGURATION (https://docs.coralproject.net/talk/advanced-configuration/#talk-redis-client-configuration) according to the docs with { “tls”: true }.

that should do the trick, i think.

Kind regards
Christian
